Known Trivia
- Everyone on the crew had a role to play in the film (as an actor) except for Assistant Director/Art Director Wanda Lilly. When asked to play a role in the film, she said “No, I’m doing too much already.”
- The entire movie was filmed in 15 days from February 20th to March 29th, 2010. Editing was completed April 20th, 2010. The film premieres May 1st at the 2010 Cape Fear Independent Film Festival making the entire turnaround time approximately 10 weeks from the first day of filming.
- The movie was filmed on a Panasonic HVX200 which was purchased specifically for the film. Shipment of the camera was delayed by the seller and the crew became concerned that it would not arrive before they had to start the project. The camera was delivered 1 hour before auditions were held.
- Most locations were secured within 24 hours of filming (some less than that). The only locations planned ahead of time were Producer Chris Houldsworth’s office (used as Mr. Darby’s office), the restaurant, and the Director’s home.
- The roles of Al (Lee Armstrong) and Trevor (Richard Gaither) were written specifically for their actors.
- Actor Don A. King was originally cast as Peter Renfroe, but due to scheduling conflicts, he had to decline. Warren Keyes was cast soon after, as the role had originally been written as an African American.
- Brothers Tim and Chris Rogus auditioned for the film. Tim was chosen for the role of Rober Monroe. However, the director wrote in a scene with Chris walking through a hallway and having a brief exchange with Tim just so he could have an “in-joke” in the film.
- The character of Matthew is played by the director’s cousin. He asked for a walk-on role in which he would pass by the main character and say “hey, how’re you doing?”. The part was written into an actual character instead of being just an extra.
- According to the art director, the character of Bruce (Nick Karner) wore more make-up than any other character in the film. This was at the request of Karner, who believed that his character would feel incredibly vain surrounded by such younger characters.
- All of the scenes filmed for Trevor’s office and lobby were shot in one continuous 17-hour day.
